I was inspired to paint these pictures after reading a newspaper
article about the unfortunate shooting of a Spirit Bear
in Canada's Yukon Territory. This series is in
memory of that Spirit Bear.

FRAMING
In preparation for this show, Jane is undertaking a series of large canvas
oil paintings depicting notable views throughout Canada. The most recent
painting has just been finished January 2008. It is
titled Cameron Lake, Alberta and is 36x48", oil on canvas.

Most of my paintings are custom framed by my husband George. He carefully
matches the frame with the mood and tones of the picture. These frames
are made from raw wood and hand crafted each
step of the way. Even the stains are mixed by George to enhance the
hues in the artwork.
